Projector and Screen Rentals
Channel AV rents projectors and screens in Nashville, TN for corporate presentations, conferences, trade shows, outdoor movie nights and wedding receptions. We carry screens from 120 to 150 inches, and larger screens for bigger venues, along with projectors sized to your room. Every projector screen rental includes cables, adapters and on-site calibration before your event starts.
Our technicians have experience setting up projection at hotel ballrooms, university auditoriums, conference centers, corporate award dinners, outdoor parks and private properties across Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
Not sure whether a projector or a TV screen fits your space better? Projection performs best in rooms where you can dim the lighting. For daytime events with significant natural light, a TV display often delivers sharper, more consistent results. Our team can help you choose.

Projector and Screen Rental FAQs
What projection screen sizes are available?
We rent projection screens in 120, 135 and 150-inch sizes, with larger screens available for bigger venues. For outdoor events, we set up screens outdoors with a full projector and PA system, contact us with your venue and we'll confirm what works for your setup.
What is the most popular screen size for indoor events?
The 135-inch screen is the most requested size for indoor events in Nashville. It fills a conference room or hotel ballroom well and fits in most venues with standard ceiling heights. For larger keynote stages or conventions, the 150-inch is the stronger choice, and larger screens are available for bigger spaces, so reach out if your venue calls for more.
What is the difference between a long-throw and short-throw projector?
Throw distance is the space between the projector lens and the screen. A long-throw projector needs more distance between the lens and screen to produce a large image, making it best for large rooms.
A short-throw projector produces a large image from close range, which works well in smaller spaces or when the setup area behind the audience is limited.
What is front projection vs rear projection?
Front projection means the projector sits in front of the screen facing the audience. Rear projection means the projector sits behind the screen and the audience sees the image through the screen material.
Rear projection gives a cleaner stage look with no visible projector, but needs significantly more space behind the screen. Most events use front projection. Our technicians can advise which works for your venue layout.
How much space does the projector need from the screen?
For a standard long-throw projector and a 135-inch screen, you typically need 15 to 20 feet of throw distance. Short-throw projectors can produce a full image from 4 to 8 feet. We calculate the exact throw distance for your room when preparing the quote, so there's no need to work it out yourself.
Can Channel AV recommend the right screen and projector for my venue?
Yes. Share your venue dimensions, ceiling height and approximate seating layout. We'll recommend the right screen size and projector type for your setup and calculate throw distance before delivery.
What devices connect to your projectors?
Our projectors connect to laptops, computers, iPads, DVD players and most video sources via HDMI, USB-C, VGA or Component. All cables and adapters are included with the rental at no extra charge.
Can I use a projector and screen outside during the day?
We would not recommend it. Daylight washes out a projected image almost entirely, even from a high-lumen projector. For outdoor daytime events, TV screen rentals are a much more reliable option that holds up in bright conditions and delivers a sharp, readable image without needing a darkened environment. If your outdoor event runs into the evening, projection becomes a far better fit.
Can I rent a projector without a screen?
Yes. If your venue already has a screen or wall surface, we can rent the projector on its own. We'll confirm the throw distance and input compatibility for your space before delivery.
Do you provide an on-site technician to run projection?
Yes, our on-site technicians are available to operate projection during your event, advance slides, switch inputs and handle any issues in real time. You can add this service to any rental.
